Why every security client should have their own portal

Most security clients only hear from their provider when something goes wrong, or when the invoice arrives. In between, they're left wondering. Was the guard on time? Did anyone walk the loading dock? What happened with that alarm on Tuesday?

When clients can't see, they ask. And every "just checking" call costs your office time and chips at the client's trust.

What clients actually want to see

It's simpler than most firms think. Clients want to know who's on their site today. They want the logbook and the reports, with photos, without asking for them. They want proof the patrol happened. And at the end of the month, they want timesheets that match the invoice.

They also want to ask for things without chasing. Extra cover for an event, a second guard for a busy weekend. A request they can see waiting is far better than a voicemail they hope someone heard.

What clients should never see

A good portal is as much about what it hides. Your pay rates, your margins, your internal notes and your other clients are none of the client's business. Each client should see their own sites and records, and nothing else.

Inside a client's business, not everyone needs everything either. The facilities manager might need the roster and logbooks, while their accounts team only needs invoices. The client should be able to decide that for their own staff.

Why it's good business, not just good service

A client who logs in and sees their sites covered stops calling to check. A client who sees reports the night they happen trusts you more than one who reads them a week later. And a client whose records, reports and history live with you is a client who thinks twice before moving on price.

It also changes the tender conversation. "You'll see every guard, every shift and every report in your own portal" is a promise most providers can't make.

How ORION does it

ORION Connect gives each of your clients their own portal. They see their team roster, live logbooks, handovers, reports with photos and signatures, patrol receipts for their own stops, timesheets and invoices. They can ask for extra cover through Requests, and their own staff can add logbook entries at a site kiosk with a PIN.

You choose which features each client gets, and their own roles decide what each of their staff can see. Your pay rates and margins are never shown.

From the team behind OrionUnified

This is the problem we build for.

OrionUnified connects your office, your guards and your clients on one live system — licence compliance enforced at the roster, geofenced timesheets, and client portals that build trust instead of phone calls.
